Some Bad News, But Good Too

Well, I hate to have to tell you guys this…..but I will be closing down my Etsy store.

I am REALLY sad about this, but it’s for a good reason…….

We are NEXT in line to get a referral for our adoption (that’s when they finally match us up with a child)!

(Cue the marching band!!)

So, we don’t know when it will happen, but I need to make sure we are ready to drop everything when it does happen.

And also since the Holiday season is coming, that means things will be extra busy and I need to try to get as much done ahead of time, so I won’t be soooooooo behind when we travel.

So, I will stay open for 2 more weeks and take orders through September 30th. I will try to make sure and restock as often as possible during the next 2 weeks, so check back if my shop is out of something you want.
Also, I will be busy filling orders, so it may take a little longer to get orders in the mail….so please be patient.

I will continue doing my blog, though!!!

I really love it and have enjoyed getting to know my readers and other super-cool bloggers since I started back in March.

Thanks so much for your continued support and sweet comments. I try to reply to all of them (I am a little behind right now), and LOVE checking out all of your awesome blogs! You all are so talented too!!

So come back often and we’ll continue to have LOTS of crafty fun!!

  1. That’s wonderful! Congrats!

  2. Congratulations!! Best of luck!

  3. Best wishes, I’m an adoptive mom and know how the miracle feels. Very wise to cut things out. Good luck.

  4. i am so so happy for you. My aunt adopted a little boy several years ago and he has brought so much light into our family

  5. Congratulations. That is so wonderful!!!

  6. Best wishes with the adoption! Isn’t it a wonderful blessing? My sister adopted my niece and nephew and we just love them to pieces. I am so excited for you! Good luck with the last couple of weeks of your shop, too. I hope you sell lots and lots! :)

  7. That is awesome (the adoption part!) congradulations. I hope everything goes well and quickly!!!!!!

  8. I’m so happy for your family. I hope you don’t have to wait too long!

  9. Wow! That is awesome! I’m so happy for you guys! Are you hopping for a boy or just whatever you can get? (That sounds like I’m talking about an object instead of a child.) Let me know if i can help out with anything k?

  10. This is not bad news. It is not good news. It is A-W-E-S-O-M-E news! How can you contain yourself? If I remember correctly, it is a foreign adoption. Are you traveling to get the NEW member of your happy FAMILY? Oh I am so excited for you and pray that everything goes perfectly. Heavenly Father has a plan for us, and sometimes we forget that we are on his time table not ours. I hope that the time goes quickly and your dream come true arrives home soon.

  11. Congratulations! You’re in for a very exciting and whirlwind time. Take lots of pictures. can’t wait to read about your amazing journey! From a fellow adoptive mama (and adult adoptee too!)

  12. That is awesome! Good Luck!!

    I’m adopted, BTW!

  13. Oh congratulations! I remember when we got the call to go get our kids. It was the best day of my life. I know adoption is a roller coaster, but it is so worth it. Good luck!

  14. Yay!! Congrats! You are in my prayers!

  15. I’ve been following your blog for a little while – so exciting for your family! Another addition to your loving family. I hope all goes well for you.

  16. I am an adoptive Mom, too, and it is SO wonderful! I have 4 biological children and an adopted now 31-year-old daughter!!! She was precious then and is precious now. I wish you all of God’s richest blessings on your new addition!

PS. I think I will be closing my Etsy store soon, too. I started it to help my DH out with pay cuts at his job & furloughs with no pay, but it started out great and then came to a screeching halt! I think too many people trying to sell too many of the same things! :( It may be back to nursing (I am an RN) for me… :(

  17. Exciting news! I am so happy for you.

  18. I am so sad that I just BARELY came across your blog just to find out you closed your etsy store.

I totally understand your reasoning. We just adopted almost 2 years ago (it was an amazing experience), so I know how busy you must be.

How can i order any of the 6 be’s vinyl lettering? I LOVED that idea!!! So cute!
