IT’S A GIRL!!!!!

Whew! I’m still buzzing from SS, but i wanted to let all my AWESOME readers know that…..
It’s a GIRL!!!
We got our referral the other day for an (almost) 1 year-old baby girl……and she is SO beautiful!!
We will be leaving in a few weeks to go meet her and formally accept the referral in the Russian courts.
We are all so excited here and I can’t wait to hold my sweet little girl.
Unfortunately for us, we will have to return from the 1st trip empty handed and wait till the 2nd trip (a few months later) to be able to bring her home.
BUT,
We are psyched none-the-less!!
Wow! That means we’ll have 3 girls……..sorry for my hubby.
(actually he likes having daughters, they’re daddy’s girls)
I was kinda starting to hope for a little boy…..so no cute little boy clothes for me :(
But, how fun to have 3 giggly, sweet little girls….YAY!
So, thanks SO MUCH to all of you for your awesome support and encouraging e-mails…….I NEED all the support I can get :)
And, I’ll keep you updated in the coming weeks and months.
Have fun!

But I also wanted to comment on this post to say congratulations and good luck with the adoption! I have close friends that have adopted 3 children from Russia. But I wish you the best of luck and hope that the process goes smoothly and quickly!!!

  32. In December and January my sister and her husband adopted 2 baby boys. Not twins, it just worked out that way. They have been such a blessing to our family. We love adoption. I am so happy for your family because I know what a blessing you are recieving and giving!

  33. Good karma. My adopted daughter was born on the 24th of October. She is a gift and yours will be too.
    Congratulations.

  34. You must be over the moon. I couldn’t have my own children, but luckily Hubster brought 3 boys with him 18 yrs ago. Now we have a wonderful 2 yr old grandson. Funny how life works.
Love your blog. Featured the glowing jars on my l’il blog with a link back. Just wanted you to know.
Congrats on the baby! Looking forward to reading about your journey.

  35. Congratulations! I’m so happy for you. Adoption is such an amazing experience. When we had our second daughter sealed to us her big sister was so in awe that she could go to the temple too. It’s really very special, and they have matching bracelets to remember it by too :)

  36. Congratulations!! I’m a new reader, so I hadn’t seen your earlier posts about the adoption. Our oldest two were adopted as infants through LDS FS. Adoption is awesome!! (Then we were able to have our third the traditional way:) Good luck!

  37. Congrats! So wonderful of you to open your home to this sweet little girl. God Bless you!

    Congrats!

We have a seven year old who is adopted from Guatemala. It took us almost two year post referral to bring him home, which I’m sure you can imagine was AGONY and TORMENT. But of course it was worth it. When we finally were able to pick him up my cheeks were painfully sore from smiling so much. He was 2 1/2 years old and such a kick. He was and still is like a little tornado. I can’t imagine our life without him.

My brother is getting ready to travel to China to adopt our nephew, and we are super excited about that.

Congrats, it will be an amazing experience!

  39. I spent a year and half in Russia and I spent some of that time in orphanages. They have so many there. That little girl is so lucky to be adopted by you and you are so lucky to get her. congratulations! Good luck! Can’t wait to hear all about it.
