Black and Silver Halloween Mantel

I love the way the black and silver look together for Halloween, and decided on that color scheme for my mantel this year and it turned out better than I hoped it would. I also envisioned the spookier side of Halloween for this with skulls and bats etc (although, my oldest tells me there are a few too many spooky things and I need to cut back on the skulls)

It was fun adding different themes to see how they would work. You can see how to make the birdhouse here and I made these countdown blocks a looooong time ago here.

The mercury bottles almost din’t make the cut, but the kiddos added them and they look so cute! Man, those kids are smart! And I couldn’t leave out the cute little mummy guy (he’s my favorite of the jar monsters)

The skull frame you can see the tutorial here and get the free printable too! The bats are one of the best things and look like they are flying around the room. The chain was fun to add and only a few bucks at Walmart or Michaels.
