When I was a kiddo, New Year’s Eve was so fun! It wasn’t fun because we went to parties or went downtown to watch fireworks…..it was fun because we got to pick movies to watch and snacks to munch all together as a family. Earlier in the day, us kids would sometimes make little crafts and concoct hats and such to help celebrate and that was what made the New Year extra memorable…the home made aspect of it.
That’s what our kiddos get a kick out of too….they love helping plan our “menu” of snacks and
fight about try to decide what movies we watch as we all snuggle up against they cold weather outside and celebrate a new year together.
I’ve been looking for some fun activities and crafts they can make while we get ready for the big day whether you stay in or go out and here are some of my favorites:
Cute Confetti Launcher….’cuz some occasions just need a little mess!
I know what my girls will want to do first! Make some fun Embellished Glasses to wear! (Thanks to Paige for the awesome tute!)
These New Year’s Eve Countdown Bags would be a fun way to surprise the little ones.
Don’t forget the treats…..Let the kiddos decorate some Countdown Marshmallows to munch later on.
Don’t forget some easy Fireworks Rings for the whole family.
This cute DIY Party Hat is made with only cups and leftover tinsel….how cute!
Make up a carton of these fun Confetti Eggs for your celebration too…..they are SO fun!
This Balloon Countdown would be great for the younger kiddos who like a variety of activities.
These Noise Makers would be fun since you can see the pretty things inside as well.
Hand out these adorable “Tic Tocks” before everyone starts their midnight kissing! She has a free printable too.
I am in love with these awesome New Year’s Photo Props….what great pics we will take!
The kiddos can help make some Edible Horns for the special night…..plus, no noise so that’s a plus!
Love this idea….Chalkboard Party Hats to make with the family!
These Confetti Poppers are super cute and super easy to make.
Ok, so this one is just cool! Home Made (Golden) Cotton Candy
