Harry Potter Birthday Party Favors ~ Party Part 2

Harry Potter Birthday Party Favors ~ Party Part 2 By: NotSoIdleHands.com

Well, here we are at part 2 of the fun Harry Potter party we had last month. You can see Part 1 here or Part 3 here or Part 4 here.

I wanted to make the favors look like the candies from the books/movies, but I also wanted to put my own fun spin of them. I also like using see~through bottles and containers that are cute and can be dressed up any way.

Here are the Bertie Botts jars. I used the plastic French square milk bottles that I carry in my Etsy shop here.

To make it less expensive, I got the generic Jelly Belly’s from Sams Club and even though they weren’t authentic, I had several kiddos show relief that they could eat them without fear of getting a “vomit” flavored bean. LOL

Here are the labels for these bottles. I just used parchment paper and printed & cut them out. Then, I ran them through my Xyron to make them sticky and slapped them on. Ta~da!

The Fizzing Whizbees were so fun to figure out I wanted something that tasted like it matched the name. So, I scoured the candy aisle to brainstorm what would be fun to use for these.

I found these Jolly Rancher Bites {sour} and they were perfect!

I put some in these cute clear tubes {you can get here} and attached some labels I made {also printed onto parchment}.

I inked the edges of the paper first to give it an aged look.

The Liquid Luck was the most fun to make! I used the mini glass bottles with corks that I carry in my Etsy shop here. I thought about simply using colored water and then sealing the cork on….but the kid in me said it would be way more  fun if the kiddos could actually drink it and pretend it was real.

So, I took light corn syrup and mixed in a little dark corn syrup to look like Liquid Luck. Yes, I know….sugar rush! but, the kiddos thought it was SO fun that they could actually drink it {or pour it on their pancakes the next day}!

Here are the labels for these too….I used a tag paper punch to shape them this way and ran them through the Xyron as well to slap right on.

For the box, I used a large gable box and found the label for the front here. Each kiddos got a souvenir “acceptance letter” with a Hogwarts Express ticket I printed out from here.

As each guest arrived, they got a pair of Harry Potter glasses and a shiny Snitch necklace, so they all matched.
