Fun and Easy Halloween Bloody HandPrint Towel

So last week when my brain had run dry of sweet Halloween ideas, my bestie Jess sent me a torrent of texts filled with great ideas! One {this one} looked super fun and easy and I decided I needed to make one for our guest bathroom….you know, to scare away any guests that might be foolish enough to enter our asylum.

Anyhoo, I also just happened to have all the materials on hand already…BONUS!

You need:

~White towel~this one is a full~sized towel, but would look cute as a hand towel too

~Red fabric paint

~Wax paper or something to put the paint on that’s big enough for your hand too

Ok, I warn you….this is super duper easy. So feel free to make a bunch of these for every bathroom in your house. Think Bates Motel or Overlook Hotel {from The Shining}.

Fold the towel in half {since only half will usually show when it’s hanging up} and lay it out flat.

Squirt your paint liberally onto the wax paper or paper plate and keep it close to smear your hands in.

Get your hands nice and paint~y and slap 2 sloppy hand prints right on there! If the prints aren’t saturated enough…..you might need to get more paint on your hands and carefully add a second layer to each handprint. I also added some smear marks and splatter patterns cuz, you know, murder is pretty messy and all.

And it should be machine washable….just follow the directions on the bottle.

Here it is with some eerie spider web overlays that I had too much fun with while editing….

Have fun making yours!
