Message In A Bottle…Or Even On A Spool

Message In A Bottle...Or Even On A Spool @NotSoIdleHands.com

We all love getting little notes letting us know how much we are loved and thought of, but I think it’s even more fun to be the giver of these sweet sentiments. If fact, my girlies adore writing messages on tiny pieces of paper and leaving them for me and the hubs to find…..and are delighted when we return the favor. It’s my favorite, though, to see the light in their eyes when they get little notes from daddy….their very first love in this world!

I started carrying these adorable teeny glass bottles in my Etsy Shop and hubs thought they would be fun to put notes in for the girls. I also saw this idea here to roll a sweet message around wooden spools and just knew my kiddos would love finding these around!

They are so easy….here’s what you need:

~Wooden Spools {Here, the tiny ones are so cute for this}

~Glass bottles/tubes {here}

~Cute paper {I used these cute rolled papers from Hazel & Ruby}

I used the rolled papers from Hazel & Ruby since they had beautiful vibrant prints, but are thin enough to roll up tight and slip into the bottles. Just cut them to size and length you want {I measured the width and made them 8~10 inches long.

Write your sweet sentiments out.

Roll it up, or wind around a wooden spool, and use some pretty washi tape to hold it closed. You can use twine too, but the washi tape was too cute with this paper and it won’t tear it when your loved one unrolls the paper to read the note.

Very cute and the colors pop nicely.

Now who wouldn’t love a teeny tiny message in a bottle?

Who would you leave these for?

Have fun!
